Board Members
The Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence (BOT) governing board is a seven-member body appointed by statute. Members set broad departmental policy and through application of science, training and provider certification standards, ensure the quality of the breath testing programs across Oklahoma.
Governing Board Membership
The Board of Tests for Alcohol and Drug Influence shall be composed of seven (7) members appointed by statute as follows:
- One member, who shall be the Dean of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, or the Dean's designee who shall receive an appointment in writing, as Chairman;
- One member, who shall be the Commissioner of Public Safety or a designee;
- One member, who shall be the Director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation or a designee;
- One member, who shall be the State Commissioner of Health or a designee;
- One member, who shall be the Director of the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training or a designee;
- One member, who shall be a certified peace officer who is a member of a local law enforcement agency selected by the Oklahoma Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association; and
- One member, who shall be selected by the Oklahoma Association of Chiefs of Police.
