As the Oklahoma Legislative session draws to a close, it appears likely that there will be no authorizations for tax-backed bond issues. Those entities with the statutory authority to complete refundings will continue to bring those to the market as opportunities present themselves. The Legislature did provide for $60 million in appropriations in each of the next two years to address needed repairs to the State Capitol Building.
The Oklahoma Development Finance Authority is preparing a request for Oklahoma Supreme Court validation of the Master Lease Program. This filing is expected soon, with the validation process taking up to six months.
