Linda Carpenter is the Owner/President of Custer County Abstract Company in Clinton, OK. Business began in 1897 and has only had three owners. Linda worked in the offices of the County Clerk, County Assessor and County Treasurer before becoming a legal secretary and then managed Custer County Abstract before purchasing it in 1981. She is a past President of OLTA and has served on several Committees for ALTA. She is married to Bob Carpenter and they are the parents of three children (two daughters work in the abstract company), eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

David Riley, District 2

Jefferson, Kiowa, Love, McClain, Murray, Stephens, Tillman and Washita Counties
David Riley is the owner/manager of Cochran Abstract Company in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He has been in the abstract industry for 29 years, first as an employee and assistant manager of Cochran Abstract Company from 1979 to 1990, and then as owner/manager from 1990 through the present. He is a member and Deacon at First Baptist Church of Pocasset, Oklahoma, and also serves as the sound technician there. He is also presently serving as President of the Board of Directors of Southwest Youth and Family Services, Inc. in Chickasha.

Monica A. Wittrock, District 3
Canadian, Cleveland, Logan and Oklahoma Counties
Monica Wittrock is Vice President and the Oklahoma State Manager for First American Title Insurance Company and President of First American Title & Trust Company for the State of Oklahoma. She was previously in private law practice in Oklahoma City, specializing in real estate, banking and commercial law. Ms. Wittrock is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Oklahoma City Real Property Lawyers Group. She is a Director for The First National Bank in Midwest City and chairs several banking compliance committees. Ms. Wittrock is the author of the “Oklahoma Agents Manual” and “Oklahoma Escrow Manual” for First American Title Insurance Company, and is a frequent speaker for the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma Land Title Association, Oklahoma Real Estate Commission, and other real estate and banking organizations. She lives in Edmond and is married to Kevin Wittrock. They have two children – a “Cowboy”, Rob, and a “Sooner”, Sarah.

Glenda Mittasch, District 4
Adair, Cherokee,Craig, Delaware, Kay, Mayes, Muskogee, Noble, Nowata, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Pawnee, Payne Sequoyah, Washingon
Glenda Mittasch is the Owner/President of Powers Abstract Company, Inc., in Perry, OK. Glenda and her husband, Dennis, purchased the company in November, 1986. She worked for Southern Abstract in Bartlesville while attending college and, after she married, worked for the Noble County Clerk and Powers Abstract Company. She is a Past President of OLTA and has served on several committees including Education, Legislative, Public Relations, Research and Okie TiPac and was selected as OLTA’s Title Person of the Year for 2009. She is married to Dennis Mittasch and has two children, Stacy McKay and husband Bryan, and Clay Mittasch and wife, Niki, and has one grandchild, Denver McKay. She is a member and elder in the Morrison Christian Church of Morrison, OK, past president of the Perry Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving as Chair of the Leadership Noble County.

Mike Harris, District 5

Mike Harris is Owner-President of Creek County Abstract Company, Inc. in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He has worked in the Abstract and Title Industry in Creek County for thirty-three years as a third generation owner-abstractor. He and his wife Teresa have three children, Zac, Natalie and Alexandra. Zac is now working in the closing and title insurance department and will be the fourth generation at Creek County Abstract Company.

J. Herschel Beard, District 6

J. Herschel Beard is the owner of Marshall County Abstract Company, LLC, a business started by his grandfather in 1920. He is Past President of Oklahoma Land Title Association, selected as their Title Person of the Year in 2001, and has served as a member of the Education Committee for the past 20 years. He is currently serving his second 3-year term on the American Land Title Association’s Abstractor-Agents Section Board of Directors and is currently in his 17th year serving on the ALTA Education Committee, having chaired the committee for five years. He is married to Sue Jennings Beard and they have two sons, Wade and J.T.

Gary Baer, Attorney
Secretary
Gary Baer received his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Business in 1959 and his L.L.B degree from the O.U. College of Law in 1962. He was the co-founder of Baer & Timberlake, P.C., a general practice law firm in Oklahoma City, specializing in real estate and primarily representing institutional lenders and mortgage servicing companies in both commercial and residential fields. During his practice he has rendered written title opinions covering nearly 30,000 abstracts of title on lands within the State of Oklahoma and currently serves as Secretary of the Board.

Dennis Hall, Real Estate Broker
Dennis Hall is a Tulsa resident and has spent the past 42 years engaged in the real estate business as owner of Dennis Hall Co., Realtors, a Residential and Commercial Brokerage concern and as a Certified General Appraiser, Investor, Home Builder and Developer. Dennis is a past President of the Oklahoma Association of REALTORS, past President of the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors and Director of the National Association of Realtors. He is a graduate of the University of Tulsa with a BA in Business Administration and holds the Oklahoma Certified General Appraiser designation and the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager designation. Dennis and his wife Nelda have six children and ten grandchildren.

Jerald Stringer, Bank Officer
Jerald Stringer is a lifelong resident of Elk City, Oklahoma and has been employed with Bank of Western Oklahoma for 30 years, serving as President for the last 25 years. He received his BS in accounting from SWOSU. He has been married to JoAnn for 30 years and have two children, John, age 25 and Sarah, age 21.
