Annual Event Rewards State Employees’ Dedicated Service OKLAHOMA CITY -- May 31st, 2007 -- State employees will be honored at the fourth annual “State Employee Night at the Brick”. The event will showcase the Oklahoma RedHawks vs. the Salt Lake City Bees at 7:05 PM on June 1, 2007. “The ‘State Employee Night at the Brick’ gives state employees the chance to relax and enjoy a free night of excitement with their families,” said Governor Brad Henry. “With all the hard work that they do, they definitely deserve an event like this.” The annual event is sponsored by OK.gov, Oklahoma’s official Web site, found online at www.ok.gov. State employees and their families have been invited to attend the game free of charge. As part of a pre-game event, state employees will have a chance to enter to win prizes and meet RedHawks official mascot, “Rowdy”, from 11 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, May 31st, 2007, at the State Capitol. “We have conducted this event for several years now with continuing success,” said Mark Mitchell. “It has even become an award winning campaign for our company and giving back to our state partners is why we organize it each year.” The “2006 State Employee Night at the Brick” was recognized for marketing excellence at the 2006 Public Relations Society of America’s annual award ceremony with an “Upper Case” award and “Best of Show” award. Each year the event becomes a larger success with state employees. This year over 5,000 state employees are expected to invade the RedHawks stadium this year. About OK.gov About NIC -30-
