UPGRADE Program Description

UPGRADE Mission Statement

> To assist schools and non-profit health and social agencies with technological assistance, equipment, and materials to facilitate their service to the community.

TO ACCOMPLISH THIS MISSION:

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT

> HARDWARE - We collect old computer equipment, repair, clean, and distribute the equipment to schools and deserving agencies.

> SOFTWARE - We assist the recipients of the computers to acquire proper software. We assist them in loading and learning to use the software.

> MAINTENANCE - We help the recipients of the computers to keep their equipment working and watch for upgrade opportunities for them.

OTHER EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

> LIST - We maintain a list of special needs of schools and agencies and try to match those needs with equipment and supplies as they become available.

DONATIONS TO UPGRADE:

> UPGRADE is an unfunded non-profit group and will provide a receipt for TAX CREDIT for your donation.

DIRECTED DONATIONS:

> UPGRADE will accept donations, provide the services listed above, and deliver the equipment to the school or non-profit agency of your choice.

YOUR DONATIONS TO OTHERS:

> UPGRADE will provide assistance to schools and non-profit agencies to put into service equipment that others donate directly to them. TELL THEM OF OUR SERVICES. So much generously donated equipment is never used for lack of repair, programming, or knowledge.

PARTIAL LIST OF NEEDED ITEMS:

> Personal computers, printers, etc. Any brand, any age. > Original software packages for use in offices or with children. > Computer components, miscellaneous parts, or supplies. > Intercom Systems > Phone Systems > VCRs, overhead and slide projectors > Office furniture and equipment > Office supplies > You got it - We will try to find a home for it .

WE DISTRIBUTE: > Equipment, supplies, assistance, and WARM FUZZIES.

SERVICE TO DONORS: > UPGRADE will go into any work facility and format the drives on computers to be donated to guarantee that no privileged information leaves your facility.

PAYMENT FOR OUR SERVICES: > We accept warm smiles, slaps on the back, and maybe on a cold day we would accept a cup of coffee.

> Sorry, We do not accept credit cards, cash, checks, or any other form of that root of all evil!

UPGRADE WAS FOUNDED IN 1991 AND HAS BEEN SERVING THE COMMUNITY CONTINUOUSLY SINCE THAT TIME.
