Oklahoma ABLE Tech strives to help Oklahoma agencies and institutions provide more accessible digital materials. We are also proud of the work that agencies and institutions are doing with digital accessibility. ABLE Tech feels that Oklahoma has a lot to offer, and we take time out occasionally to speak at national conferences and share some from what we have learned.
ABLE Tech hopes to contribute content on accessible Acrobat PDF documents as well as another topic or two, as the iPro Conference planners see fit. Keep an eye out for more details!
Oklahoma ABLE Tech will join with three of the nation's top digital accessibility minds when it presents a joint session on making accessibility happen, and making it happen without spending a lot of money. Rob Carr from ABLE Tech joins Elle Waters from Simply Accessible, William Lawrence and Sharron Rush from Knowbility in this one hour panel presentation that will help municipal and state webmasters see that accessibility is something that they can handle.
Oklahoma ABLE Tech will join with WebAIM to present a one hour session on the Web Accessibility in Higher Education Project in Oklahoma. Rob Carr from ABLE Tech and Jonathan Whiting from WebAIM and the National Center on Disability and Access to Education will share some lessons learned by higher education institutions from across the state. We are excited to talk about this unique project at a conference the size of EDUCAUSE.
ABLE Tech is excited to present two, one-hour workshops at Accessing Higher Ground.
One will share lessons learned from the Web Accessibility in Higher Education Project, much like the presentation at EDUCAUSE. Rob will again pair with Jonathan to speak about the Project.
The second session will focus on making accessibility a reality in higher education institutions. This session will focus more on how to approach the right people to get them on board and make digital accessibility part of the fabric of the institution.
