Oklahoma ABLE Tech Staff

Linda Jaco is the Director of Sponsored Programs at the OSU Seretean Wellness Center. She received her M.S. in School Psychology from Columbia University in 1977 and her B.S. in Secondary Education and Child Development from University of Houston in 1974. She worked as a school psychologist with the Houston Independent School District and as Supervisor of Psychological Services at The John E. Fogarty Center in Providence, RI before her appointment as Program Manager of Oklahoma ABLE Tech in October, 1995. In February, 2006 Linda was appointed Director for Sponsored Programs at the Seretean Wellness Center where she oversees a number of state and federal grant programs totaling in excess of $3 million annually. Linda has served on a number of national, state and local task forces and boards related to disability and agricultural issues. Additionally, she has worked with many agencies, organizations, as well as non-profit entities making policy change and advocating for individuals with disability, substance abuse or agricultural concerns. She has been very active both at the state and national level working on legislative issues. Linda currently serves as Vice-Chair for the Association of Assistive Technology Act Programs and also serves on the Coalition of Agricultural Mediation Program national steering committee. She is married to William Jaco who holds the Grayce B. Kerr and Regents Professor of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University. They have two sons. |

Milissa Gofourth is the Program Manager of the Oklahoma ABLE Tech Program at the OSU Seretean Wellness Center. She previously held the position of Outreach/Training Specialist, and prior to her arrival to OSU she was a Supported Employment Project Director. In the eight years that she held that position Milissa directed services for individuals with disabilities to have opportunities to be employed in community work. She conducted ongoing educational programs for community employers, co-workers, and the general public with regard to the skills and abilities of individuals with disabilities. She was employed by the University of Oklahoma as a Training Specialist and consultant. Milissa graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Special Education, and an MS in Health Administration. She and her husband, Derrel, have lived in Stillwater since they both came to school at OSU. They have one son, Todd, who lives in Dallas, Texas and two grandchildren. |

Diana Sargent joined Oklahoma ABLE Tech in September 1997 as a Staff Assistant. Before joining ABLE Tech, Diana worked for the State 4-H at OSU. Diana and her husband, Les, have lived in Stillwater over 20 years after moving with their three children from Springfield, Illinois. Les and Diana are enjoying being grandparents to two grandchildren. |

Brenda Dawes is an Assistive Technology Program Specialist and Marketing/Web Coordinator for Oklahoma ABLE Tech. She is involved in legislative issues regarding electronic and information technology accessibility and provides technical assistance to the state. She is a member of the state legislative electronic and information technology accessibility advisory council and appointed to the national Section 508 refresh committee, the Telecommunications Electronic and Information Technology Advisory Committee (TEITAC). Ms. Dawes has been an advocate in the disability field for many years. Joining Oklahoma ABLE Tech in March 1995, she worked as a training and evaluation specialist for a partnering program with the Department of Rehabilitation Services and the Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center. Prior to joining Oklahoma ABLE Tech, she served as the coordinator for the Statewide Independent Living Council and the State Rehabilitation Advisory Council. Ms. Dawes graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's degree in English and Education with teaching certification. She has three daughters, 14, 12, and 6. |

Shelby Sanders is the Equipment Specialist for Oklahoma ABLE Tech. She assists individuals with the short-term device loan process as well as schedule demonstrations. Shelby attended the University of Central Oklahoma from 1994 to 1996 on a tennis scholarship. She transferred to Oklahoma State University and graduated with BA in Sociology. She maintains teaching certification in history and coached high school tennis for three years. She has been a realtor for five years with Pioneer Real Estate. Ms. Sanders has two daughters, daughters Brooklyn and Blair. |

Lindsey Davis is the Alternative Financing Program Loan and Marketing Coordinator. She graduated in 2005 from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Communications and a minor in Agricultural Economics. Lindsey previously worked for Oklahoma Farm Bureau as a field representative and the National Reining Horse Association as the Youth Coordinator. She will be coordinating the efforts between BancFirst and ABLE Tech to help Oklahoman’s with disabilities get bank loans for assistive technology. Lindsey also manages the applications for the guaranteed low interest loan program and speaks with potential clients about the low interest bank loan program and other funding options. She is ready to help with the purchase of any type of special equipment or technology.

Tessa Stinnett is ABLE Tech’s Speech-Language Pathologist and AT Specialist. She has 14 years of experience working with individuals of all ages who have disabilities. Tessa specializes in augmentative communication and assistive technology solutions for people with a wide range of difficulties and needs. Tessa previously worked for Oklahoma Assistive Technology Center, teaches a university course about augmentative communication for speech pathology graduate students, and regularly provides trainings about assistive technology topics to Oklahoma public school staff, parents, therapists, and other interested parties. |
