Retirement Benefit Analyst II (classified position)

Hiring Rate: $23,234 to $30,979

Teachers’ Retirement System is seeking a Retirement Benefit Analyst II in our telephone response center. This is one of four positions responsible for answering a wide range of questions on retirement and related topics. Education and experience requirements consist of three years experience in technical bookkeeping, accounting, auditing, claims adjusting, eligibility determination or reviewing and analyzing requests for determination of retirement benefits or other related benefits; or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting thirty semester hours of college coursework for each year of the required experience. Excellent benefit package includes paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays and health, dental and life insurance.

 

Application Procedures for Classified Positions

♣ Permanent classified employees including those having reinstatement rights wishing to be considered for a classified position must submit the following information to the address above:

♦ Two (2) complete sets of the “Personnel Data Summary Sheet” (OPM-4B). The OPM-4B must clearly indicate how you meet the education and/or experience requirements.
♦ Cover letter that includes the title of the position, mailing address, daytime phone number, current job classification, and class code
♦ Completed and signed TRS Employment Application; resumes may be attached as additional information only.
♦ Latest copy of performance evaluation.


♣ Applicants who are not current permanent state of Oklahoma employees in the classified service or eligible for reinstatement eligibility into the classified service must:

♦ Apply through the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and meet minimum qualifications for the posted classification. (Application procedures for the OKCAREERS Program may be found on OPM’s website )

♣ Potential applicants who fail to comply with these application procedures may not be considered as candidates for the position.
