Security Operations Center

Service Description

The purpose of this service is to provide support for the customer's ongoing internal security operations.  

The basic (no fee) services include: 

  • OSF backbone traffic analysis
  • Malware download detection, analysis and notification

Additional services (fees may be required) offered by the Office of State Finance (OSF) include:

  • Analysis of compromised systems
  • Password recovery
  • Temporary internal traffic analysis

Related services available from external parties by contract (SW759)

  • Analyze the scope of existing security operations and validate them against the controls considered to be essential to an organization.
  • Evaluate Network Security (WAN & Backbone components) to identify vulnerabilities internal and external to the network and provide a plan for mitigation using any or all of the following:
    • Penetration Testing;
    • Web Application Vulnerability Testing;
    • VPN Vulnerability Testing;
    • External Network Vulnerability Testing;
    • Internal Network Vulnerability Testing;
    • Wireless Vulnerability Testing; and
    • War Dialing.
  • Security Program Assessment
  • Social engineering test

Customer Market

This service is available for all Oklahoma state agencies, offices, officers, bureaus, boards, commissions, counsels, units, divisions, bodies, authorities, or institutions of the executive, legislative, or judicial branches of state government. The term "state agencies" does include institutions within the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education or the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

Customer Responsibilities

  • Initiate incident response procedures based on information provided
  • Provide or make available to OSF staff any information pertinent to security operations being supported
  • Report incident to Oklahoma Computer Crimes Alliance
  • Initiate service request for additional assistance, as needed
  • Follow through with suggested changes

How Do We Charge?

The basic service is free for all agencies utilizing OSF provided bandwidth. Additional services may incur additional charges.
