Custom Built Applications

Service Description

Oklahoma Interactive, LLC (OI) is committed to being the best partner it can be with the state of Oklahoma. We offer a number of unique services that are designed to increase visibility and promote online government services to the public.

Oklahoma Interactive’s custom-designed eGovernment applications, coupled with a payment engine, allows individuals and businesses to interact with their government in a way that makes sense for their needs - fewer lines, inconveniences or mail-related delays. OI works with individual state departments and agencies to identify potential services that can be implemented through the portal. Examples can be seen on OK.gov.

Customer Benefits

The Office of State Finance (OSF) has partnered with NIC, OI's parent company, to provide these services to you. This partnership enables state agencies to avoid the often cumbersome process of submitting RFPs by instead signing a simple, pre-approved, two page interagency agreement with OSF. Once this agreement is signed, any agency may deal directly with  OI with respect to all aspects of the development process. OSF then bills the agency on a monthly basis as outlined by jointly signed proposals.

Customer Responsibilities

It's Easy As 1-2-3!

If you wish to develop eGovernment applications to save you valuable time, reduce your postage, and bring convenience and ease to your customers, we can help. Simply follow these three easy steps to bring a web presence to your agency.

Step 1: Gather Your Team!

OI recommends a team approach to application development. Through a planning team a number of perspectives can be gathered to help discover information and applications that will bring value to the agency's web presence.  We recommend the following talents for your planning team. The number of people on the team is, of course, at your discretion:

  • Project leader
  • Policy maker/director
  • Technical/systems administration
  • Public relations/government relations
  • Administrative/customer service
  • Team planning/consensus building

Step 2: Partner With Oklahoma Interactive!

Consult - Call us! We're ready to get started and answer any questions you may have about Oklahoma Interactive. To contact OI, call (405) 524-3468 x 127 or e-mail marketing@www.ok.gov.
Define - Define project with OI project management team
Match Your Market - With your input, we will research the market, and with oversight from OSF and the Governmental Technology Applications Review Board, recommend service fees and priority
Do It! - You, OI, and OSF will officially approve the service with a signed interagency agreement. Together, we put your service in the queue for development.

Step 3: Launch Your Service!

Marketing - Let's tell your customers! We'll partner with you to implement a service marketing plan design to target your main audience.
Satisfaction - We strive to be the best partner for the state of Oklahoma. Please tell us how we're doing!
Maintenance And Customer Service - Don't worry, OI is here to stay! We'll continue to provide service maintenance and monitoring, as well as customer service support!

How Do We Charge?

There are 4 basic pricing structures that OK.gov follows including:

Statutory Fee Structure

If an online service receives a statutory fee, OI will receive a fee for each transaction processed by the delivered service. This fee will be used to defray the costs of development, customer service, marketing, maintenance, and future upgrades. The agency has the option of either absorbing this as a cost, or passing this on to the user of the online service. By utilizing this funding mechanism, OI will not charge any up-front development fees. OI refers to this as the self-funded model.

Government to Public User Structure

An online service in this category allows a public user (usually a citizen) to benefit from an online service or information provided by an agency for FREE.

Government to Business Structure

An online service in this category enables an agency to provide a service or share information with a business, or vice versa. These online services are also generally built at no cost to the agency.

Government to Government Structure

An online service in this category enhances agencies internal processes by establishing an electronic process that is dictated by business rules. These applications are financed through a pricing structure called time and materials, which is a charge assessed by the agency. The time and materials charge will be based upon an estimated number of hours spent by Oklahoma Interactive during the development process and a table of OSF approved, resource specific, hourly rates.
