Courier Services

Service Description

The Operations and Production Services unit of the Office of State Finance (OSF) Information Services Division offers courier service for transport of specific items between designated locations. OSF offers time-sensitive door to door delivery of documentation and media. We aim to be customer focused and dependable while providing an affordable delivery solution. Our services include:

  • Scheduled Daily Courier
  • Scheduled Weekly Courier
  • Emergency Courier (such as off-site tape retrieval)

Scheduled Daily and Weekly Courier:
OSF Operations offers scheduled daily and weekly courier service for normal pickup and delivery of tapes, disk drives, reports and other important documentation.

  • Output print services (reports)
  • Backup media/data storage
  • Intra-agency mail delivery

Emergency Courier (Offsite Tape Retrieval):
OSF Operations offers emergency courier service for unscheduled retrieval of backup tapes used to restore applications and data. Contact the OSF Service Desk (405) 521-2444 for more information.

Customer Benefits

Reduces or alleviates the requirement for maintaining full time employee for courier deliveries.

Customer Market

This service is available for all Oklahoma state agencies, offices, officers, bureaus, boards, commissions, counsels, units, divisions, bodies, authorities, or institutions of the executive, legislative, or judicial branches of state government.   It is also available to counties, municipalities, townships, Tribal governments, and other political subdivisions. 

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers are responsible for providing and maintaining the transportation cases used for backup media
  • Customer are required to provide site address and access requirements for courier
  • Customers should identify type of services required based on delivery schedule runs 7:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
  • Customers should designate local staff to serve as the primary contact

How Do We Charge?

Unit of Charge:

  • A monthly flat rate will be established based upon the number and type of deliveries
  • Cost includes rates for mileage/gasoline/maintenance and FTE partial rate

Major Cost Drivers:

  • The type of service chosen and how many deliveries are desired
