The Office of State Finance Information Services Division is seeking an experienced facilities manager. This is a full time position in State Government and will be eligible for a generous total rewards package. POSITION PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to plan, organize and direct work involved in monitoring and maintaining building systems including electromechanical systems, HVAC systems, security and alarm systems, and other building systems and equipment in a large data center facility. This position requires an individual with extensive knowledge of monitoring, service and repair of machinery and equipment. Individual must have good working knowledge of building structures and ancillary equipment. Individual will establish direction and standards while maintaining a high level of user trust, satisfaction and confidence.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

The principal activities include the following:

• Manage the operations and support of the electromechanical systems, HVAC systems, security and alarm systems and other building systems, facilities and equipment. Establish standards procedures and processes to ensure efficient operation and stability of all systems with at least 99.999% reliability of service where required.
• Coordinate and make appropriate assignments for the maintenance of systems, facilities and equipment to ensure optimum functionality. Implement preventative maintenance programs and arrange contracts for vendor services. Maintain accurate records and problem logs for all systems and equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and assure all equipment and systems are kept in good working order. Identify, assess and resolve technical maintenance problems.
• Coordinate corrective action and response in all immediate emergencies requiring skilled maintenance. Recommend appropriate courses of action on system or equipment issues. Monitor and track to successful resolution system or equipment problems.
• Develop, maintain and monitor contingency and disaster recovery plans. Conduct annual reviews or tests of the contingency and recovery plans.
• Participate with management and outside vendors to keep all building systems efficient and up to date. Monitor operating efficiency and costs and formulate and organize plans to maintain or upgrade equipment and systems as required to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain current knowledge of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and systems and equipment procedure manuals.
• Develop and recommend budgets and control approved expenditures.
• Other assigned duties.

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or related discipline; and at least five years professional-level experience in the operation of a commercial or institutional facility. Experience should include a well-rounded background and vast knowledge of electromechanical systems, HVAC systems, security and alarm systems, and other building systems, machinery and equipment. A complete understanding and knowledge of the servicing and repair of machinery and equipment and good working knowledge of building structures and ancillary equipment. An equivalent combination of education and experience substituting 1 year of experience in facilities management or closely related field for each required year of education, except no substitution will be permitted for at least 2 years of engineering course work.

PREFERENCE may be given to applicants who possess the following:

• 10 years of work experience in facilities management.
• CFM (Certified Facility Manager) certification.
• FMP (Facility Management Professional) credential.
• Experience in managing a SCADA system and SCADA certification.
