Contracts & Procurement Manager Unclassified The Office of State Finance Information Services Division is seeking a Contracts & Procurement Manager. This is a full time position in STATE GOVERNMENT and will be eligible for a generous total rewards package. Benefits include medical, dental, life, and disability insurance products as well as defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans, wellness program with financial incentive, and tuition reimbursement. Employees earn 3 weeks paid annual and 3 weeks sick leave in the first year as well as enjoy 10 paid holidays annually, flexible work hours, comp time, and longevity pay. POSITION PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to manage the procurement of office supplies, furniture, technology resources and negotiate terms and conditions that protect the State’s interest at the best overall cost. The position requires an individual knowledgeable in procurement, installation, and maintenance of computer hardware and components, personal computers, servers, software, data and voice communications equipment and services, and supplies. Also, experienced in negotiating contracts for information technology hardware, software, services, and disaster recovery and business interruption. A complete understanding of technical principles, theories, concepts and technologies; and legal contract requirements is required..
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.); and at least five years professional-level experience in information technology, purchasing, contract negotiating, writing and editing, and business continuity planning and developing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of experience in Procurement, Contract Negotiations, Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field for each required year of education.
