Technician permits not renewed are canceled 30 days after expiration.

 IMPORTANT! ON-LINE RENEWAL is available from the Home Page.  Permits renewed online are immediate and the new permit is printed by the technician.
Technicians who choose to mail a PAPER renewal should allow a MINIMUM OF TWO WEEKS from date of receipt for their permit to be processed & mailed by the Board.

Special Announcements

  • JULY 1, 2011 - Beginning with permits renewed ONLINE, technician permits must be signed by a licensed Oklahoma pharmacist to be valid. Unless you are currently employed in a licensed Oklahoma pharmacy and under the immediate & direct supervision of licensed Oklahoma pharmacist who will sign your permit, your permit will not be valid. Permits processed by the Board will also be issued with this signature requirement in the coming weeks. Those technicians who already have a 2012 expiration date will receive the new permit upon their next renewal.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How old do you have to be to apply for a pharmacy technician permit?
A: Technician applicants MUST have either a High School Diploma or a GED before they can apply for a permit.

Q: I have a tax hold on my permit. What does that mean?
A: The Oklahoma Tax Commission places a "tax hold" on technicians who are not in compliance with state income tax laws. The Board cannot process any application that has a hold. Call 405-522-6800 to get your hold released.
