Commission Duties and Responsibilities
The Commission has the following duties and responsibilities to:
prescribe
minimum educational requirements for real estate provisional sales
associates, sales associates and broker license applicants
license and maintain appropriate records pertaining to the licensee
prescribe standards for real estate entities and instructors
prescribe, approve, and monitor prelicense, postlicense and continuing education offerings
record continuing education
monitor the activities of licensees to insure compliance with the License Code and Rules
investigate complaints as filed by the general public and/or the Commission
discipline a licensee when found in violation of the License Code and Rules
maintain
and administer an Education and Recovery Fund for the purpose of
reimbursing persons suffering monetary damages because of misconduct on
the part of a licensee
provide educational projects for the benefit of licensees and the general public
initiate cease and desist orders for unlicensed activities with the appropriate court of jurisdiction.
