OK-WARN stands for Oklahoma Weather Alert Remote Notification - a new service that provides notification of weather hazards and emergencies to deaf and hard-of-hearing Oklahomans via pager, e-mail or cell phone.
The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) provides funding assistance to local communities as part of the State-Local Assistance (SLA) program. Funding is provided by FEMA and channeled through OEM.
