State Emergency Operations Plan (EOP)December 31, 2007 In accordance with our requirement from the Governor and the Legislature to assign responsibilities for actions to be taken during times of disasters and emergencies (63 O.S. 2001, Section 683.2), I am pleased to provide you the updated State of Oklahoma Emergency Operations Plan (EOP). Please recycle previous copies. During 2007, we used this document in the response and recovery operations for seven (7) Presidential Declared Disasters in the State of Oklahoma including two ice storms, one snow storm and four incidents of major flooding. This plan continues to be a living document, updated annually since 1996. It has received significant changes through the years, has been used in nineteen (19) Presidential Disaster Declarations and numerous other events including statewide wildland fires. We hope it clearly expresses the responsibilities of our State agencies. We rely on all agencies and organizations involved with emergency and disaster response in the State to ensure that their portions of the plan are accurate. If changes are required, please notify this office so that the changes can be incorporated in the next annual revision. If necessary changes are critical, those changes will be incorporated into the plan and all agencies will be notified as soon as possible. Sincerely, ALBERT ASHWOOD 2007 Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) - in PDF format. |
