Application Cycle – FY10

The PDM, FMA, RFC, and SRL application period opened on June 1, 2009.

All grant applications must be submitted through the Electronic Grants (eGrants) system by November 6, 2009, at 5:00:00 p.m. Central Time. This will allow me to review all applications, send them back to you for revision if needed, and then get them back to me so I can combine all of them in one application to FEMA by their deadline.

The HMGP application deadline is associated with each specific Presidential major disaster declaration date and is not part of the annual application period. For additional information, see Part VIII A.6.

Re-Opening of FY09 Application Period – FMA & SRL

In addition the FY09 application period for FMA & SRL has re-opened, and will remain open until the funds for these programs are obligated. While your projects must be cost effective to be approved, the amount of funding available is significant so a lack of funding for your FMA & SRL projects should not be an issue. An advantage to applying for FMA & SRL under the FY09 re-opening is the funds are already available, which means you do not need to wait until March 2010 to find out if your applications are approved for funding. However, keep in mind that any applications submitted for FMA & SRL under the FY09 re-opening must be in compliance with the FY09 HMA guidance.
