Winter Weather Event

December 28-30, 2006

 

Late Thursday December 28, 2006, snow started falling in the western two counties of the Oklahoma panhandle and parts of the Texas panhandle.  Snow continued during the day Thursday with about 10 inches of snow accumulation.  Parts of the region also received freezing rain, but snow was the main precipitation type.  The remainder of Oklahoma saw rainfall of 1-4 inches.
