AIRCRAFT PILOT & PASSENGER PROTECTION ACT
On Oct. 1, 2010, the Aircraft Pilot and Passenger Protection Act (APPPA) became effective in the State of Oklahoma. This new law, which was passed by state lawmakers during the 2010 legislative session, regulates the height of structures that are built or erected within certain distances from Oklahoma's public-use airports and military installations. It also regulates construction projects that may be deemed incompatible to normal airport operations. The Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission is the state agency that administers the law. Please use the links below to access important information about APPPA which may be useful to you and/or your company.
