The Office of Management and Enterprise Services is statutorily charged with creating an annual report of all real property owned by the State of Oklahoma and identifying the 5% most underutilized properties. A live interactive listing of all reported properties is accessible through the Real Property Assets hyperlink found below.
All properties that were self-reported by Oklahoma state entities as being less than 50% utilized are captured in the Tier One Underutilized Property Report. Properties were assessed based on considerations such as location within a campus, plans or potential for future utilization, property expenses and income, deed restrictions, and environmental issues. Properties were removed from the report based on these considerations to create the Tier 2 Underutilized Property Report. Further consideration of issues associated with the property, as well as the value of the property and the potential for sale, were considered to create the Tier 3 Underutilized Property Report, which identifies the 5% most underutilized properties. More detailed information about the methodology is contained in the Real Property Asset Report.
