Property Reutilization

Insurance
The Risk Management Division is authorized to provide various insurance coverage to eligible Fire Organizations formed under:

  • Title 11 – Cities/Municipalities;
  • Title 18 – Non-Profit Fire Protection Organizations incorporated through the Secretary of State;
  • Title 19 – Counties.

For further eligibility requirements refer to Title 74, Section 85.58B of the Oklahoma Statues (http://www.oscn.net/applications/OCISWeb/DeliverDocument.asp?CiteID=105996)

Available coverage includes:

  • Tort Liability is made available under the Governmental Tort Claims Act (GTCA) for fire organization employees only.
  • Property Coverage provides physical damage coverage for fire department’s owned property to include buildings, building contents, vehicles, boats, fire apparatus and equipment.

If a fire department, district or service is housed in a building with any department or unit of local governmental entities, Risk Management may also provide building or structure insurance coverage for the entire building.
