THE CHIEF OF STAFF

Delmas Ford,
Chief of Staff of the Department of Central Services
Delmas Ford has been in public service for thirty years. Prior to his appointment as Chief of Staff of the Department of Central Services, Mr. Ford held various positions, which include: Office of Public Affairs from 1976-1986 under Governor George Nigh. Served in the capacity of a Buyer, Administrative Assistant to the Board, Central Purchasing Director, Acting State Bond Advisor and Agency Director.
He served on the staff of Governor Henry Bellmon from 1986 to 1990 and was a member of the transition team for Governor-elect David Walters.
Cabinet Secretary of Transportation from 1991 until 1995 under Governor David Walters.
From 1992 to 1993 he served on the Shawnee Hospital Board.
The current DCS Chief of Staff was honored by being selected as the 2002 Retiree of the Year by the Oklahoma Public Employees Association.
Delmas Ford and his wife, Carol, live in Midwest City and have three children.
