History of the Statewide Nine-One-One Advisory Board Many 911 issues of statewide concern created the need for a statewide body. A statewide body made up of professionals from private industry, government and the public sector that could address these issues with a statewide point of view. A group that could implement the ground work for a plan to standardize the way 9-1-1 is administered and managed within the state of Oklahoma. A new section of law was codified in the Oklahoma Statutes as section 2847 of Title 63 to create the Statewide Nine-One-One Advisory Board. The purpose of the Board is to oversee development and operation of emergency nine-one-one systems within the state of Oklahoma.
