Community Arts Programming Component Preview

Organization Information

  1. Briefly describe your organization, its history and discuss the community your organization serves such as, geographical location, ages, economic factors, ethnicity etc.
  2. Discuss why the arts programming is important to the individuals or community(s) that your organization serves and include information concerning any artistic goals your organization may have.

  4. Please list the actual dates or date ranges of the activities in this project.
  5. Please list your organization's key personnel with their contact phone number(s) that are directly involved with this project
  6. Please estimate the total number of individuals that will be directly involved in the project as artists, non-artist project participants or audience members between the grant or project start and end dates
  7. Please estimate the total number of children and youth (under18) benefiting directly from the project. This figure should reflect a portion of the total number reported in the previous "individuals involved" question.
  8. Please estimate the total number of artists directly involved in providing art or artistic services specifically identified with this project. Include living artists whose work will be represented, regardless of whether the work is provided by the artists or by an institution.
  9. How many of these artists are on the Oklahoma Arts Council's Artist in Residence Roster?

Artistic Product

  1. Describe the project, include specific title(s) date(s) and corresponding artist(s) in production/performance(s) and/or describe service(s) offered. Focus on the artistic components and specific art form or genre.
  2. Discuss the methods used to determine why this project is appropriate for the anticipated audience including use of demographics, artist/artistic selections, time frames, locations, audience interests and needs, etc.

Access

  1. Discuss the level of community involvement in the planning and evaluation of this project.
  2. Discuss the specific components of this project that facilitate service to underserved populations that may include rural, at-risk youth, minority populations, populations in institutional settings, people with disabilities, senior citizens or populations with English as their second language.
  3. Discuss the methods of communications, marketing and use of the media in attracting audience/participants, include any methods of promotion directed towards underserved populations listed in the previous question.
  4. List any ticket prices or ranges of prices. Indicate if any reduced tickets or free tickets are given, include who they are given to and how they are advertised.

Evaluation

  1. Discuss provisions for audience/participant feedback and how that feedback will be utilized by the organization. Include information on formal evaluation tools such as surveys, focus groups, etc. (Samples of any evaluation tools should be included as project support material.)

Support Material

  • Publications or other printed materials which promote or describe the project or the organization’s community arts programming. Printed materials that describe previously OAC funded projects should include the OAC logo. Limit two (2).
  • Resumes, bio’s or press packets of artists, jurors or presenters. Bios and resumes are limited to one page per each artist. Longer items will be discarded.
  • Letters of intent or contracts from performing artists who will be paid.
  • Press releases or news articles with OAC credit or logo. Limit 2
  • Letters of support from key community partners who will actively involved in the planning and implementation of the project.  Limit 3
